8. Read the following passage and answer the questions given below

Man does not live for himself alone.  He lives for the good of others as well as of himself. Everyone has duties to perform,  the richest as well as the poorest.  To some life is pleasant, to others suffering,  but the best man do not live for self   enjoyment,  or even for   fame. The strongest motive powers is hopeful and useful work in every good cause.  To do our duty in the world towers God and towards man consistently and steadily,  requires the cultivation of all the the faculties which God has given us.  The sphere of duty is infinite.  It exists  in every station of life.  We have it not in our choice to be rich or poor,  to be happy or unhappy,  but it becomes us to do the duty that everywhere surrounds us.  Obedience to duty at all cost and risks is the true essence of life.

9. Translate the following passage into Hindi:

Man is the architect of his own fate. If he makes proper division of his time and does his work accordingly, he is sure to improve and prosper in life; but if he does otherwise, he is sure to repent when it is too late and he will have to live a miserable life. To kill time is to commit a criminal offence, for our life is nothing but the some total of hours, days and years. Youth is the golden period of life. If we lose the morning hours of life, we shall have to repent afterwards. Carlyle called this period, "The seed period of life". If we sow a good seed, we shall reap a good harvest, when we grow up.
