1. Differentiate between cognizable and non-cognizable offence.

2. Discuss steps to be followed while recording confession by a Magistrate.

3. When can a Magistrate and Court of Session take cognizance of offence?

4. What is complaint? Discuss the procesure to be followed in a complaint case.

5. Distinguish between reference and revision.

6. What are the constitutional and legal rights of an arrested person?

7. What do you understand by 'Summary Trial' ?

8. Explain under which provisions of Cr.PC. a wife is entitled to get maintenance from her husband. Also write when does she loose this right.

9. Discuss the classes of criminal courts and mention sentences which may be passed by them.

10. Discuss the law relating to Bail. What is the basis for bail for a non-bailable case? When can bail be cancelled?

11. Describe the purpose of 'Charge'. State the details given in the charge. Can the court made any change after the charges? If so, how and when? Discuss.

12. "Summon cases are tried with less formality than warrant cases and the manner of their trial is less rate." Discuss.

13. State the powers of Appellate Courts. What are the cases in which no appeal lies?
