Religious Endowment
A religious endowment (or Debutter) is the dedication of property for religious or charitable purposes, such as for an idol, a temple, or a math (monastery).
Juristic Personality: The idol is treated as a juristic person capable of holding property.
Public vs. Private: * Public: For the benefit of the general public (e.g., a community temple).
Private: For the worship of a family deity where the public is excluded.
Management: The property is managed by a Shebait (for temples) or a Mahant (for maths).
