A Corporation or Body Corporate is a legal entity that is separate from its members. It has perpetual succession and a common seal. Under the Act, it includes:
Companies incorporated under the Companies Act.
Companies incorporated outside India (Foreign Companies).
Statutory corporations created by special Acts of Parliament (e.g., LIC, RBI).
Note: It does not include a cooperative society or any other body corporate specified by the Central Government.
