Caveat

Answer:  The word Caveat is latin term which means “let the person be aware”. In legal terms it is a notice given to a court not to act in a certain manner without informing the person who gave such notice. Section 148A of Civil Procedure Code deals with Caveat but it is not defined in the CPC.

in the case of Nirmal Chand v. Girindra Narayan, the court defined caveat as a warning given by an individual to the court that no order or judgment shall be passed without giving notice or without hearing the caveator.
